Beach Programme

The Beach programme runs under the watchful eye of Head Coach Matt Grinlaubs, from Australia, who played at the highest level at the Olympics and on the FIVB World Tour, and Morph Bowes who was appointed as Women's Coach in May 2009.

From April 2007 to August 2010 the programme was based at the University of Bath who built two outdoor courts to the rear of the athletics track. For winters 2007-08 and 2008-09 indoor facilities were available at Whitchurch Sports Centre in Bristol, however since its removal there is no indoor beach court in the UK.

During the summer the players can be anywhere in the world playing in either the Swatch FIVB World Tour, or the CEV European Beach Tour, and in the off-season they may be in warm weather training in Australia, California, Tenerife or elsewhere.
