Anti-Doping Regulations

The British Volleyball Federation is committed to ensuring that the Anti-Doping policies of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), of the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADO) currently UK Sport, and the bye-laws of the British Olympic Association are upheld in order to maintain an ethical stance to provide clean and fair drug free competition.

The Rules of the WADA Code are binding not only on players but also on support personnel - coaches, trainers, managers, etc. Under the principle of 'Strict Liability' any banned substance found in a player's body is deemed to be the absolute responsibility of that person. The BVF operates under the rules and regulations of the English Volleyball Association which can be found here - www.volleyballengland.org

Equality

The BVF supports the principle of equal opportunities for all participants, representatives and employees whilst working for, or on behalf of the BVF. It opposes all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination on the grounds of age, colour, race nationality, religion, ethnic or national origin, gender, marital status, sexuality, HIV status, or unrelated criminal convictions, or disability. Child Protection

The BVF is committed to the protection of minors and vulnerable adults. To this end it will ensure that all personnel in positions of responsibility likely to come into contact with young persons or vulnerable adults will require to have a CRB check.  The welfare and well-being of all participants whatever their race, religion, sex, class, sexual orientation, age, disability or special need is a key concern of BVF. The BVF recognises the need to protect children from individuals who may abuse positions of trust and is committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of any young people playing our sport at High Performance level. Photography

Matches and training of the Great Britain teams remain the property rights of the British Volleyball Federation and as such permission is required to take images in any format for future use whether for payment or freely given.
