Sporting Giants

The Sporting Giants scheme was launched in 2007 by UK Sport in order to entice tall athletes into the sports of rowing, handball, canoeing and volleyball. From the initial thousands expressing interest selected athletes went through a set of rigorous tests and a handful remained to pursue a desire to compete in high level Volleyball.
