In 2020/2021 the British Volleyball Federation (BVF) applied for funding to UK Sport for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic cycle.

In March 2021 the BVF was awarded National Squads Support Fund (NSSF) of £260,000 over 4 years for the disciplines of Beach Volleyball and partial funding for Indoor Volleyball. The BVF was awarded the NSSF Funf for Sitting Volleyball for a total of £375,000.

Prior the NSSF fund, In October 2018, Beach Volleyball received a funding of £68,750, and Sitting Volleyball reeived a further £11,000 in the second rounf of fund ditribution. The Aspiration Fund, which was announced by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) aims to support sports which do not currently receive full UK Sport funding to develop plans to help teams and athletes realise ambitions for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Sports eligible to apply for the fund include all the unfunded summer Olympic and Paralympic sports.

  • The National Squads Support Fund will positively contribute to the development of credible national squads, specifically enabling athletes to attend major international championships and access other events that form the critical path to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
