SAFEGUARDING

The British Volleyball Federation (BVF) believes that all athletes, staff and volunteers should feel safe while participating in volleyball activity. We are committed to protecting the welfare and safety of all individuals, proactively preventing any issues that could occur within volleyball, and empowering individuals to take appropriate action where needed.

"The BVF are currently reviewing all our policies and procedures, as well as putting in place best practice mechanisms with our partners the NSPCC, CPSU and Ann Craft Trust.

Everyone has a right to be treated with respect
and dignity. Everyone deserves to be safe. (Ann Craft Trust)

Our safeguarding policies and procedures will therefore cover young people (classed as U18 years of age) and adults at risk (anyone over 18).  We will work closely and align all our processes with each home nation to ensure consistency and professionalism in our approach.

In this interim period, please ensure any correspondence will be addressed in the most appropriate and conscious way.

If you have any questions or would like to raise anything related to safeguarding, please contact the deputy safeguarding lead for the BVF Joanna Cook (jcook@britishvolleyball.org) or the independent board member, Dev Kumar Parmar who is the BVF's Safeguarding Champion (dkp@parmars-sports.com)."
