Board Vacancy: Non-Executive Director (Commercial & Marketing)

The British Volleyball Federation (BVF) is seeking an experienced, strategic, and commercially minded leader to join its Board as Non-Executive Director – Commercial & Marketing.

The BVF brings together the National Volleyball Federations of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, representing British Volleyball across indoor, beach, and sitting disciplines on the global stage. As a member of the BOA, FIVB, CEV, World ParaVolley, and ParaVolley Europe, the BVF plays a pivotal role in the international development and success of the sport.

As we look ahead to the Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we are focused on building a sustainable commercial model that supports performance success while growing the visibility, value, and global profile of British Volleyball.

About the Role

This voluntary, Board-level role offers a unique opportunity to shape the commercial future of British Volleyball. Working closely with the President and Board, the successful candidate will lead the development of the BVF’s commercial and marketing strategy, driving income through partnerships, sponsorship, digital innovation, and brand development.

The role is expected to require up to two days per month, with reasonable expenses reimbursed in line with BVF policy.

We Are Looking For

You will bring a strong track record in commercial leadership, sponsorship acquisition, brand development, or international marketing, ideally within sport, entertainment, or global brand environments. You will be comfortable operating at Board level, offering both strategic insight and constructive challenge, and will share our ambition to grow British Volleyball on the world stage.

Why Join Us?

This is an exciting time to be part of British Volleyball. As a Non-Executive Director, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Influence the long-term commercial sustainability of the sport

  • Help grow audiences, partnerships, and international recognition

  • Support Olympic and Paralympic ambitions across all disciplines

  • Contribute to an inclusive and forward-looking national governing body
